For the VERY FIRST TIME we are releasing females from 6Peruvian Accoyo Puncha's line. Accoyo Hamka is one of her VERY BEST GIRLS. To date we have only ever sold 1 of her offspring, a stunning Accoyo Pinachi son. We have kept ALL her girls.. Available at the Breeders Edge Auction 2010!
http://www.breedersedge.info/

Accoyo Puncha has been one of the most important foundation females for Derwydd over the past decade. She was hand selected for us by Dr Juilo Sumar in the last importation from Peru in 1998. Julio said to us "this one, she is the one you want, FIRST, of all the alpacas here", so we did exactly as Julio said and she was our first pick and still to this day the BEST pick out of that importation. She is the dam of Accoyo Manchu, our 8x Champion El Nino son that is co-owned with Greg Mecklem (and currently breeding at Greg's... ) Her EPD (via the IAC program) for density is an incredible 1.5lbs with a PE of 0.4... she is the highest scoring EPD for density in the IAC database. 2 of her progeny (Manchu & Chipchirry) have EPD's for density in the 0.9lb and 0.7lb range. Heritable! All her progeny have stunning heads, incredibly bright, dense fleeces with deep crimp definition characteristic of the Accoyo "A" line.

And Accoyo Atticus is no slouch as Accoyo Hamka's sire! He won where it was important to win: 2003 Int'l Alpaca Odyssey Reserve Grand Champion , 2003 MAPACA – 1ST, 2003 AOBA Reserve Champ, 2004 AAA Futurity – 1ST , 2004 AOBA Nat'l - 1ST - A Caligula son, an "A" line Accoyo and dense, shearing a 5.4lb blanket at age 5. He sold for a whopping $75,000 in the 2007 Parade of Champions Sale. Atticus has thrown cria as dark as Bay Black.

Hamka did well in her show career collecting the coveted BEST HEAD award at the International Alpaca Odyssey and several other 1st place awards. She is a well balanced female, level toplline, good leg set, medium framed, excellent bone and a stunning head type. Her fleece exhibits eye popping brightness, well aligned crimp, bundling thru-out, she is shearing 11.5 lbs at 4 years old and her 09 micron was 23.4 (2010 pending). She is DENSE. She is an "A" line Accoyo. If you are looking for an Accoyo foundation female with proven genetic density w/o sacrificing fineness. Hamka is it!

Hamka is currently bred to Accoyo Montacute, Amanda VandenBosch's Full Accoyo Pachacuti son for a November cria.. we expect something very nice from this cross. Montacute is 1/2 brother to MSA
Heminway's Bogart, a top IAC Herdsire with excellent retained fineness and an EPD for MFD of -1.9 micron (PE of 0.4).
